This is a hand stitching class making large contemporary embroideries where the emphasis is on pattern based on cultural textiles from around the world. Large, bold, colourful stitches overstitched with more stitches will enhance a base laid down using an embellishing machine. Some basic tuition in the use of an embellishing machine will be covered. Ownership of an embellishing machine is not a requirement although if you own one, please bring it.
